I love them

When things aren't going well, they are all I need to make my day better again.

Powder Fun - PART TWO

REMEMBER THIS? MARCH 2010. POWDER FUN, PART I

January 2011 - Powder fun, Part II. We moved the powder on the top of the dresser!!! A higher one. But he's smart. He took a laundry basket and flipped it upside down and put his bathroom stool on top of it so he could reach the powder. LOL.

Then he runs to his room and smiles...like that's gonna get him off the hook! LOL

JORDAN AND SAM...

It's hard to believe that my son is growing up so fast. It seems like only yesterday, we were inseparable. I went nowhere without him and vice versa. Now his life is filled with friends and "girls". Although he doesn't have a girlfriend yet, it makes me proud that he is the friend of choice to so many girls at his school. They trust him and they don't hesitate to come and visit whenever. LOL. I'm sure that to some boys his age, they'd rather avoid the "friend zone". But he's ok with that. I think he's too young to have a girlfriend anyway - haha!

Anyway, this is Sam. One of his best friends. I think she is absolutely adorable. It's nice catching them in such an innocent moment.

CATCHING UP....JANUARY HAPPENINGS

I'm quite embarrassed that I haven't kept up with this blog as much as I said I would. My days are filled with so much that sometimes I forget. So I'm going to try to catch you up on what's been happening with our life. Well, for starters, Joey learned how to tumble....LOL. He'll only do it with a pillow and a blanket on the floor though, thank God. I frowned upon E for teaching him how to do this, but as he said "let him be a boy". OK.

Other than the circus act, I intended to finally put a stop to the massive clutter that hot wheels can bring to a house. LOL. Joey has tons of toys BUT will only play with hot wheels or any car that he has. We tried to keep it under control by putting everything in one giant toy box at the end of the night. Mornings are rough though - because he is looking for particular ones he would like to play with for that day, so what ends up happening is, the toy box gets emptied before he finds the "one" he is looking for. At the end of the night - A BIG MESS. So I dug up his old "toy sorter" that I used for his room when he was a baby and just color coordinated all the hot wheels. Unfortunately, the bins are limited in color so I didn't get to match the cars with the bin. But I separated his cars by colors anyway. Believe it or not, this solved everything. He was able to find the cars he wants and he can put them away easily. Less stress for Mommy!

And as you can see - a very happy customer.

Today is a cupcake kinda day...

I woke up this morning, at 5am and had such a massive craving for cupcakes...so I bought one. Well 6 actually. But I only had one :) It's snowing outside and there's no school so we decided to get cupcakes and just sit at home and watch movies.

SMITHSONIAN AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM

The day after Christmas, we went exploring in Chantilly, VA to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. My boys loved this place. It's an amazing sight to see.

My family :)

He was in a very good mood that day. Really, he was. LOL

This little guy was in awe - he couldn't believe how big the planes were

My loves in front of the Shuttle Enterprise

The SR-71 Blackbird, also known as Jetfire from Transformers 2 movie.

The Concorde

There was so much to see. What a great day!

Aaawww I miss my Top Gun days! My all time favorite movie. Couldn't leave this place without a pic with the F-14 Tomcat....

Christmas 2010

I missed my New Orleans family very much this year but we always make the best of what we have during our Christmas wherever we may be. The four of us, that's really all we need. The kids had a nice Christmas. I wish I could have given them more this year. 2010 has been a very hard year for our family but we managed to make it through. So long as we have each other. I hope everyone had a great Christmas! God Bless all of you.

Our Family picture for Christmas 2010

Joey's annual Antler picture. LOL

Joey got Buzz and Woody from Meega :)

Cars...more cars...

Stockings - filled with pop rockets, and a little bit of money!

What would Christmas be without a new batman shirt for Jordan?

Joey got a car carrying truck...of course!

Jordan got another pair of Osiris shoes - size 13! lol
